Last week, our talented Year 10 and 11 students brought their own take on Blood Brothers to the stage—an interpretation of the musical they study for GCSE Drama. Completely student-led, the production was a fantastic showcase of their creativity and hard work!

After winning the school heats of the FutureChef competition, Year 10 students Sasmithu and Eva headed to Loughborough College for the local finals, where they had just one hour and a £6.50 budget to create a main course for two. Sasmithu impressed the judges with his Nasi Goreng, while Eva showcased her skills with delicious Pelmeni (Ukrainian dumplings). Both students stayed calm, confident and focused in a completely new kitchen, and the judges praised their outstanding technique and the fantastic flavours of their dishes. Well done to both, an amazing achievement!![]()

In October, our Year 9 and Year 10 Spanish students headed to Málaga for an incredible language and cultural immersion trip. Over four sun-soaked days, they explored the city, discovered local traditions, enjoyed a tapas tour, and took in some amazing sights.
A fantastic time was had by all and the students are already asking when they can go back!![]()

The arrival of our Christmas tree is the first hint that we are entering our busy festive season. On Wednesday 17 December we will be welcoming Catmose friends and family to All Saints’ Church in Oakham for an evening of carol singing, music and drama; there is no better way to start Christmas. Students will be invited to wear their Christmas jumpers for a non-uniform day on the last day of term (Friday 19 December) and there will be lots of festive food choices on the menu during the last week of term (15-19 December).![]()
