Tree Guardians

Following a visit by Ms Kearns to Catmose College to discuss environmental action, the College’s and Harington School’s students showed their environmental sense of urgency when, on Saturday 12 March, we planted 400 trees along one of the College’s perimeter fences. It was fantastic to see so many students and parents turn up with spades and boots, ready to work extremely hard.  Within two hours we had planted 400 trees!  The remaining 20 trees will be planted by members of Harington’s Eco Team who did all the ground work for the planting and ordering.

The Harington Eco Team will also monitor the trees to check that they are keeping healthy.  It just shows what we can achieve as a community working together.
