LAMDA Presentation Evening

December 13, 2021/in Uncategorized /by enewel

LAMDA Presentation Evening

On the evening of Monday 6th December students studying LAMDA exams performed their pieces in the Theatre to parents and friends. The evening was designed to give students the opportunity to perform their exam pieces in front of an audience. The Monologue and Duologue performances involved students who have only had a few lessons through to students in their fifth year of studying:

Grade 2
James Abbott (Sam Spoon’s Magic Tune & Tikki causes Trouble)
Lexi Allathan (The Little Match Seller & The Glass Slipper)
Ethan Ritchie-Smith (Little Violet and the Angel)
Liam Swiecik (I’m not Ready)

Grade 4
Laura Williams (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Almost & An Inspector Calls)

Grade 5
Sienna Bradbury-Harrold (Pygmalion & Arcadia)
Jack Shipley (Reserved & The Lost Crutch)

Grade 7 (Silver Medal)
Mara Bradbury-Harrold (The Way of the World & After Juliet)

Grade 8 (Gold Medal)
Ben Atkinson (On the Phone, Two Gentlemen of Verona & Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead)
Lydia Orton (The Memory of Water & Blue Orange)

It proved to be an entertaining evening with a variety of traditional and contemporary pieces. Students performed to a very high standard and should be very proud of themselves. I am sure that they will all do very well in their performance exams. It was a real pleasure to have two ex-Catmose College students with us (Ben & Lydia) performing their Grade 8 pieces for their Gold Medals. Their performances showed everyone what is possible with lots of hard work and commitment and gave everyone a glimpse of what to aim for.

Thanks to Paula Matthews who organised this presentation evening and to Lexi Deacon and Laura Williams who were stewards at reception for the evening. Congratulations to all of the performers – you smashed it!
