Berlin Trip
Recently, the humanities team took 30 students to Berlin for an insightful educational trip. Students explored key moments in history, focusing on WWII, the Cold War, the Holocaust, and Judaism as a religion.
They visited iconic sites such as the Brandenburg Gate (including a night time visit for the Festival of Lights), the Holocaust Memorial, Berlin Wall Memorial, the Palace of Tears, and the DDR Museum. The most powerful experience was the visit to Sachsenhausen concentration camp, where students gained a deep understanding of the terror of the Nazi regime, leaving a lasting impact.
Beyond history, students practiced their German by ordering food and navigated the city’s U-Bahn and S-Bahn, exploring areas like Alexanderplatz with confidence. An unforgettable and enriching experience for all!
