Battlefields Trip 2026
Earlier this term, 65 students joined our Humanities team for an unforgettable three-day tour of Ypres and the Somme, gaining a profound understanding of the sacrifices made during WWI. From exploring historic battlefields and preserved trenches to witnessing the powerful Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, the experience was both educational and deeply moving. A large number of students were able to visit the graves/memorials of their relatives. Edtih, Ellie-Mae, Leo, Abi, Ben and Lucie all found this experience to be a truly humbling experience. Additionally Eden, Jack, Evelyn and Isabelle also laid the wreath on behalf of the College due to their relatives involvement in the war. There was also time for some fun! Congratulations to Chloe, our student bowling champion, and Mr. Franklin, who took the win for the teachers.
