Year 7 Bushcraft Trip

As part of the Catmose College transition programme, we were privileged to be able to take 114 very excited Year 7 students on a 3 day Bushcraft experience to Rockingham Forest from 18-20 September.

They learnt so many new skills such as fire lighting, shelter building, first aid, then putting these skills to the test in rescuing teachers from a mock plane crash, camouflage and concealment, making their own bracelets using para chord, team building challenges, cooking their own pizzas and burgers amongst many other things. A surprise Bushtucker Trial was even done by willing volunteers.

The Bushcraft Company staff were professional, knowledgeable and caring which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The trip was extremely successful with the students making new friends and really making the most from the opportunities available.
