Royal Academy of Arts Workshop

A group of Year 9 and 10 students recently took part in a portraiture workshop led by the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Two professional artists worked with students to draw from direct observation, learn new techniques and explore their own artistic styles. The students worked with a variety of different media including charcoal, chalk and pastels.

The workshop helped students to develop their own creativity, become more confident, and work in a more expressive way. Students made excellent progress throughout the day and thoroughly enjoyed the session. We look forward to seeing how this experience will enhance their artwork.
