Amsterdam Performing Arts Tour
In July, 36 students in Years 9 – 12 from Catmose College and Harington School travelled to Amsterdam for a Performing Arts Tour.
On the first day students performed twice, first in a seaside town called Noordwijk aan Zee and on the rooftop of the NEMO Science Museum in the evening.
A performance also took place in the small town of Raadhuisplein Zandvoort aan Zee, as part of the British Festival. Performances included the Harington Jazz Band, drama pieces, solos and a whole group choir. Feedback received from members of the public was wonderful, many got into the spirit by dancing to the music.
When students weren’t performing, they spent time site seeing; including a river cruise, visiting the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank museum and exploring the town of Noordwijk aan Zee. On Saturday they went to Efteling Theme Park, a fantastic end to the amazing trip.
