During October it was the start of our Future Chef competition. The students were challenged to create a main course for two people with a budget of £5.
It was fabulous to see so much culinary flair from our students. The winning dish was made by Indianna with her stuffed chicken breast wrapped in filo pastry with pumpkin purée and lemon cream sauce and runner up was Poppy who prepared salmon with a parmesan crust. All the students that took part made some delicious dishes, the judges from the Wisteria Hotel said that the competition was so close it made the decision even more difficult to choose a winner.
Indianna and Poppy will now take part in the local final at Loughborough College in November.
