It has been an impressive start to 2020 for our badminton teams.

Year 7 teams competed against other schools in the Varsity participation event held at Catmose College recently.  All students made great progress and games were played in an enthusiastic spirit.

Year 9 teams also played in the Varsity competition held at Casterton College, Rutland. A great standard of competitive badminton was displayed with the boys finishing 1st and girls finishing 2nd. In the second round of fixtures, the boys team won 2 games and lost 1, the girls team won 1 game lost 2. All students enjoyed their competitive badminton matches.

KS4 boys and girls both finished first overall at the end of the two week round robin Varsity tournament. Well done to all competitors, they displayed a high standard of play. They have qualified to represent Rutland within the Team Leicestershire Badminton Competition which will be held at Babington Community College.
