‘Catmose College is an outstanding school’ Ofsted 2012

Catmose College is a secondary academy school on Huntsmans Drive in Oakham, Rutland. The majority of students are drawn from the county town of Oakham and surrounding villages, although many are attracted from a wider area including Leicestershire and Melton through parental choice.

The College is one of highest attaining in Rutland and Leicestershire. The Ofsted report in February 2012 rated the college ‘Outstanding’ in all categories. We offer a broad range of experiences beyond the classroom to build independence, resilience and leadership skills that are critical for success in adult life. YEAR 7 RUTLAND WATER LEADERSHIP DAY

28 August

Each Year 7 tutor group will have a day at Rutland Water where they will work on developing their leadership skills. This trip is for new starters to the College only.        

Principal’s review of the year

We have completed another very busy and productive year at Catmose. We continually strive to offer a service that responds to the needs of each student both in and out of the classroom. In developing our provision this year we have seen a number of significant developments and achievements that are worth mentioning.        

ANOTHER OUTSTANDING YEAR FOR STUDENTS AT CATMOSE COLLEGE

21 August

This year has seen Catmose students once again do themselves proud. They have sustained the very high performance of last year with 67% of students achieving the key benchmark of 5 A* – C grades including English and Maths.        

FIRST DAY OF TERM

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to College on Thursday 28 August for an exciting new academic year. Please will all students bring with them a padlock for their locker…        

EXAM RESULTS DAY THURSDAY 21 AUGUST

08 August

Results will be available for you to collect on Thursday 21 August from 10am. There will be ‘stations’ at the bottom of the Hellerup arranged in alphabetical groups by surname.
